EXP (Melco) Design format
Explanation of Abbreviations :

= hexadecimal = decimal = Most significant Bit = Least significant Bit = Value varies or unknown |
Design data starts at 0 HEX, with first Byte in file numbered 0 (zero)
Two Bytes per normal stitch, four bytes per jump stitch or color change
max. stitch length hex 7F = 127 = 12.7 mm = 1/2"
negative numbers are stored as 2-complement (signed 8-bit)
color change codes : 80 NN MM MM , where NN is any ODD number
jump records : 80 NN MM MM , where NN is any even number
